Polystyrene Garden Junkie is an online diary of the development of my garden in Hobart, Australia. Having rented for over a decade, I've carefully honed skills in raising everything from basil and spinach to orchids in polystyrene boxes, council recycling containers and other such vessels. However, I've finally bought my own house and am faced with the daunting prospect of real ground to weed, dig, compost and plant for prosperity. This diary records my attempts to develop a successful and productive earthbound garden.
